FAQ
Psychotherapy is a legally regulated, scientifically based method for treating mental health issues and supporting personal development processes. It can provide support for mental illnesses, life crises or the desire for personal growth.
Integrative Therapy is a humanistic psychotherapy method. It combines various therapeutic approaches to support people in their individual development and to promote healing processes holistically.
By combining conversation-oriented, creative and body-related methods, Integrative Therapy helps to release inner blockages, develop new perspectives and strengthen personal resources.
According to Austrian psychotherapy law, Psychotherapists “in Training under Supervision” (in Ausbildung unter Supervision or i.A.u.S) are in the last part of their training. They already work like all other psychotherapists, but reflect on the therapy processes with teaching therapists (supervisors), which provides additional quality assurance. Both the psychotherapists in training and the supervisors are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
The duty of confidentiality means that all content of the therapy is treated in strict confidence and may not be passed on to third parties. This ensures that everything you share remains in a protected environment. Exceptions to the duty of confidentiality can only occur in acute dangerous situations – I will of course be happy to inform you about it.
You don't have to be in the throes of an acute crisis to seek psychotherapy. Psychotherapy can also help you to develop a better understanding of your own actions, to question habitual patterns and to improve your quality of life.
In a walk and talk, the psychotherapeutic session does not take place in the practice room, but outside. Being on the move together can facilitate access to thoughts and feelings, get internal processes flowing and allow a different approach to oneself. This form of therapy combines physical activity with inner reflection and thus promotes new perspectives.
The walk and talk sessions take place at selected locations, which I arrange with you individually.
Online psychotherapeutic counselling is a psychotherapeutic conversation that takes place via a secure video connection. It offers a flexible way to get support, regardless of time and location.
Although online psychotherapy offers many advantages, it also has limitations. Together we can decide if online therapy is right for you.
A body-oriented approach consciously involves the body in the therapeutic process. Feelings and experiences are not only revealed in thought, but also, among other things, in breathing, tension or posture. Mindful body awareness, movement or creative methods can provide deeper access to inner processes – for a holistic approach to mental issues.
As an integrative therapist, I like to work with and therefore suggest creative methods of different kinds, depending on the client and the process. They do not replace conversational therapy. I see them as an enrichment, so they are not an obligatory part of the therapeutic work. I guide the therapy process, but we shape it together.
